Conference “Fiction Phenomena in History of World Literature: Transition of Language into Authorship” (“Ecocentrism: Culture and Nature”)

Call for participation.


We are pleased to invite everyone interested to participate in the IIІ International Scientific Conference “Fiction Phenomena in History of World Literature: Transition of Language into Authorship” (“Ecocentrism: Culture and Nature”) to be held at Karazin University on April 7-8, 2017.

Conference organizer: Department of Romance Philology and Translation of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

The purpose of the conference is to interpret famous and unknown works of fiction from the ecocentric point of view, to focus on the realization of collective ethical responsibility of a protagonist towards the natural ontological interests on the level of thoughts, conflicts, fictional images, narrative strategies.

Conference focus areas:

  • Literature studies.
  • Linguistics.
  • Methodology of teaching foreign languages and foreign literature.

The participants of the conference can offer their own topic for discussion within the subject of the conference.

Another item on the program of the conference is the round-table “Ecocentric Values, Collective and Individual Responsibility”.

Conference working languages: Ukrainian, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, German, English.

The articles based on the conference materials (drawn up in accordance with the specified requirements) will be accepted at the registration of the participants. They will be considered for the publication by the Editorial Board of the International Scientific E-Journal “Accents and Paradoxes of Modern Philology”.

Materials submission deadline: January 30, 2017.
