Congratulation to Tatyana Varenko on the award in the Feathered Quill Book Awards!
Tatyana Varenko, an associate professor of the Department of English Philology (School of Foreign Languages), has become a prize-holder in the Feathered Quill Book Awards, named one of the best award programs for independent authors by the Association of Independent Authors. Her epic cross-genre novel in verse Elfineness has won the Silver Medal (II Place) in the Best Science Fiction/Fantasy category.
“The award program has drawn submissions from all over the world, from the U. S. to the UK and as far away as Ukraine. This year, we were honored by the large number of submissions, from the one book self-publisher all the way up to the major New York houses. Our judges had the daunting task of reading a huge number of excellent books and trying to decide the best of the best”, say the contest organizers.
The judging panel comprised professional authors, reviewers, editors, and publicists who considered the originality of the book, its ability to engage the reader, the cover art, layout, design and production quality of the book, as well as the ability to fit into the niche market the book is aimed at.
Congratulation to Tatyana Varenko on the significant achievement, and wishes of inspiration, creativity and further accomplishments!
