V Bachelor Readings: Forum of Young Anglists

Fourth-year philology students of the Department of Philology shared their scientific endeavors.


The Department of English Philology has held a scientific conference of the fourth-year philology students, which has already turned into a good tradition. This year’s V Bachelor Readings: Forum of Young Anglists gathered the beginning scholars and their advisors to discuss the results of their research within the framework of their course projects.

The conference is called to stimulate students’ scientific activity, to inspire students for further creative endeavors, and to provide them with conference experience.

The participants tackled the peculiarities of English-language discourse of traditional and new media, issues of stylistics, lingvodidactics, communicative and non-verbal linguistics, attempted to determine the characteristic features of a successful person’s linguistic personality, discussed methodological principles of training professionals in foreign philology.

The conference took place in a friendly atmosphere, enriched its participants with new knowledge and impressions, and left good memories.
