Literary Translation Contest: Winners Announced

Congratulations to the winners, and wishes of creative inspiration!


Karazin University has announced the winners of the contest for the best literary translation. The contest took place on the initiative of the Department of English Translation Theory and Practice on April 7, 2016. The contest participants were graders, students of Karazin University and other higher educational institutions of the city and the country.

The jury consisted of the Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Valentyna Pasynok, Associate Professors of the Department of English Translation Theory and Practice, Oleksandr Kalnychenko, Kamilla Voronina, Tetiana Lukianova, lecturers of the Department Liudmyla Bohuslavska, Hanna Tashchenko, Daria Kaisina, the leading translator Serhii Potimkov.

The awarding ceremony is taking place at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University at 1:25 PM on April, 19, 2016 (room 7-80, University Main Building, 4 Svobody Sq.)

The award certificates will be e-mailed to the participants from other cities of Ukraine, or the winners can receive them at the Department of English Translation Theory and Practice of Karazin University (room 7-76, 7th floor) on May 4 through May 24, 2016 (from 5 PM to 6:30 PM,days off — Saturday and Sunday).
