German Teaching Methods Workshop of the School of Foreign Languages

Launching a series of teaching methods workshops in foreign languages.


On October 12, 2016, the School of Foreign Languages successfully launched a series of teaching methods workshops held in foreign languages.The lecturer of the Department of German Philology and Translation, lryna Panchenko, reported on teaching area studies in higher educational institutions (Landeskundevermittlung an Hochschulen). The lecturer of the Department of German Philology and Translation, Vadym Oreshych, reported on using multimedia technologies as a means of distance learning with the example of a learning platform (Digitale Medien im Unterricht an Beispiel von interaktiven Tools auf der Lernplattform), respectively.

The participants of the event were the representatives from Kharkiv National Medical University, National Technical University 'Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute' and V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. It is worth noting that the workshop aroused great interest among both the faculty and the students.

During the workshop, those present got acquainted with the advantages of the use of multimedia technologies as a means of distance learning with the example of the Schoology platform and learnt about the peculiarities and methodology of teaching country studies in higher educational institutions.

Each report ended with a lively discussion and the lecturer answering questions from the attendees.
