Associate Dean of the School of Foreign Languages Participates in “Train-the-Trainer” Course

Tatyana Varenko has successfully completed the “Train-the-Trainer” course and undertaken the traineeship within the “Train-the-Trainer” program.


The Associate Dean for Methods of Teaching and Innovation of the School of Foreign Languages, PhD in Pedagogy/Education, Associate Professor Tatyana Varenko, has successfully completed the Train-the-Trainer course held by the British Council in Ukraine within the framework of the Researcher Conneсt program. The “Train-the-Trainer” course took place in M. Maksymovych Scientific Library of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University on October 31, 2016 through November 1, 2016.

The course enabled the trainers to get acquainted and master the methodology of teaching postgraduate students, researchers and scientists to write effective abstracts for specific audience and different purposes, persuasive and successful proposals and deep understanding of effective academic communication.

The course was conducted by the qualified trainers of the British Council Adair Richards (Great Britain) and Tara Mitchell (Canada).

Upon completion of the course, the participants received certificates. By the course results, some of them, including Tatyana Varenko, were lucky to undergo further traineeship in Ivan Franko Lviv National University within the framework of the Researcher Connect program. The traineeship provided for direct participation in conducting the workshop with Tara Mitchell for researchers from different cities of Ukraine within the framework of the Researcher Connect program.
