“Teaching Methods” November

In November, the School of Foreign Languages held a number of interuniversity teaching methods workshops.

This academic year, the teaching methods workshops of the School of Foreign Languages have gained the status of interuniversity as among their attendees were the representatives of the educational community not only of the School and subdivisions of the University, but other Kharkiv higher educational institutions, including the Confucius Institute, Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University, H.S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics, the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport, and the Ukrainian-Francophone Academic Center of Karazin University.

Taking into account great interest in holding such events among the audience, in November 2016, the School of Foreign languages held five teaching methods workshops, two of them in foreign languages (French and English).

Everyone interested has an opportunity to get acquainted with the teaching methods workshops held in November. The School of Foreign Langauges is pleased to invite you to attend the following teaching methods workshops to be held in December.

Topic: “Cultivating Subtitling Skills in the Process of Teaching Film Translation”.
Speaker: Associate Professor of the Department of English Translation Theory and Practice, Теtyana Lukyanova.
Workshop language: Ukrainian.

November 25, 2016

Topic: “Certify Your English: Advance Your Career”.
Speaker: Methodologist of the International Training Center “PEARSON-DINTERNAL”, Michael Hudson (Great Britain).
Workshop language: English.

November 28, 2016

Тopic: “Teaching Hieroglyphics at the Initial Stage. Using of the Textbook “Fundamentals of Chinese Hieroglyphics”.
Speaker: Associate Professor of the Department of Oriental Languages and Intercultural Communication, Каteryna Zhukova.
Workshop languages: Chinese and Russian.
