Discussing the PhD theses written by the School’s postgraduate students.
On February 21, 2017, the School of Foreign Languages held a joint meeting of its Departments called the Linguistic Seminar. Within the framework of the seminar, the participants discussed the PhD theses written by the School’s postgraduate students, Olena Feshchenko (topic: Institution of American Investigation Discourse, advisor — Doctor of Philology, Full Professor Iryna Frolova), Svitlana Bielova (topic: Structural, Semantic and Linguo-Pragmatic Characteristics of Recipient’s Non-Standard Responses in English Discourse, advisor — Doctor of Philology, Full Professor Liudmyla Soloshchuk).
During the seminar, the authors of theses presented their preliminary research conclusions in the format of multimedia presentations. It excited a lively discussion. The discussion resulted in approving the decision to recommend thesis research for the defense for PhD in Philology.
