Conference program: a plenary meeting, three workshops and five sectional sessions.
On April 28, 2017, the School of Foreign Languages held the IX International Scientific and Methodological Conference “Methodological and Psychological-Pedagogical Problems of Foreign Language Teaching at the Present Stage: Ways of Integrating Secondary and Higher Schools”.
This year, the co-organizers of the conference were the Department of Foreign Language Teaching Methods and Practice and the Department of English Language. The conference is a common project with Kharkiv Academy of Continuing Education, whose integral constituent was to involve the teachers of secondary schools in participating.
The Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Valentyna Pasynok, the Associate Professor of the Department of Languages and Literature Teaching Methods of the Public Higher Educational Institution “Kharkiv Academy of Continuing Education”, Viktoriia Bulhakova, and the Head of the Department of English Language of the School of Foreign Languages, Olha Polotska, opened the conference wishing the participants and guests of the conference successful work, fruitful discussion and exchange of experience.

Within the framework of the conference, there were five sections working fruitfully. The participants discussed the general problems of teaching and control, theory and methods of teaching foreign languages in secondary and higher schools; didactic and psychological aspects of learning foreign languages in secondary and higher schools; professional training in foreign languages (for students with non-language majors); new approaches to teaching foreign languages.
