For the Attention of Karazinites!

In-Person Classes Canceled to Prevent COVID-19 Spread

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved measures to be taken regarding the coronavirus infection in Ukraine and to prevent COVID-19 from spreading. In particular, according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, a nationwide quarantine has been declared for a period of three weeks: from March 12 to April 3, 2020.

According to the letter from the Main Directorate of the State Procurement Service in Kharkiv region “On Prevention of Cases of Novel Coronavirus Disease”, with the aim of preventing the spread of novel coronavirus infection among the population of the region, in particular students, the following measures were suggested:

— limit travel of students and faculty to countries where novel coronavirus cases have been recorded;

— raise awareness about the prevention of coronavirus infection among students and faculty;

— do not hold cultural, mass, sports and other events and gatherings;

— if necessary, temporarily suspend classes at the University.

According to the Order "On Quarantine Measures", V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University has transitioned from in-person to online instruction. Karazin University employees will continue to perform their duties.

During the quarantine, the University will reduce the number of mass events.
