Participation of scholars of the Mykola Lukash Translation Studies Department in the international conference in support of Ukrainian translation studies

Prominent scientist attended a conference "Translation Studies in Ukraine as an Integral Part of the European Context" on May 12-13 in Bratislava, Slovakia.

A conference "Translation Studies in Ukraine as an Integral Part of the European Context" was held on May 12-13 in Bratislava, Slovakia in support of Ukrainian translation studies and Ukrainian translators who continue their research despite a full-scale war in Ukraine.

Well-known translators such as Brian James Baer (Kent State University, USA), Susan Bassnett (University of Warwick, University of Glasgow, UK), Luc van Doorslaer (University of Tartu, Estonia), Daniele Monticelli (Tallinn University) took part in the conference., Estonia), Anthony Pym (University of Melbourne, Australia).

Ukrainian keynote were Professor of the Mykola Lukash Translation Studies Department Leonid Chernovaty and Associate Professor of the Mykola Lukash Translation Studies Department Oleksandr Kalnychenko.

Separate panels were devoted to Kharkiv, Kyiv and Lviv schools of translation studies. Professors of the Mykola Lukash Translation Studies Department Alla Martyniuk and Alla Olkhovska and associate professor of the Department of Translation Studies Tetiana Lukianova shared the results of their current research, which they do not stop holding under any circumstances. Professor Oleksandr Rebrii, the head of the Department of Translation Studies, headed the panel and told not only about the results of his scientific activity, but also about the peculiarities of the organization of the educational process at Karazin University under martial law.
