On June 10, 2025, the School of Foreign Languages of Karazin University held a vibrant methodological seminar “Gamification in Education” organized within the framework of the international Erasmus+ DigiFLEd project “Modernization of University Foreign Language Education Programs through Integration with Information Technology”.
The seminar was the result of the training course “Gamification and Engagement in FL Teaching” from the European partner of the project − Maynooth University (Ireland).
The speaker of the event − Anna Kotova, PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professor at the Department of English Philology and Methods of Teaching Foreign Languages − presented practical ways of integrating innovative platforms into the educational process.
She demonstrated how to combine the gamified platform Genially with Moodle and create a branched learning scenario that makes the educational process more engaging and interactive.
The event was held in the format of live interaction and concluded with a question and answer session, discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of gamification.
