Student of the School Wins Contest of Scientific Works in Translation

Svitlana Shatalova with her work “Adult Problems of Children’s Literature in the Mirrow of Translation” took the I place.

Svitlana Shatalova, the student of the group YaE-43, took the I place in the II round of the All-Ukrainian Contest of Student Scientific Works on natural, technical sciences, and the Humanities majoring in Translation. The contest took place at Ivan Franko Lviv National University on March 24-25.

Svitlana Shatalova’s work Adult Problems of Children’s Literature in the Mirrow of Translation written under the guidance of the Head of the Department of English Translation Theory and Practice, Oleksandr Rebrii, received the highest scores both for the content, and the presentation from the authority jury comprising such leading figures of national translation as Doctors of Philology, Full Professors R.P. Zorivchak, A.H. Hudmanian, T.R. Kyiak, V.V. Demetska, L.V. Kolomiiets, and A. I. Paslavsk.

According to our winner, the contest was held in a very friendly and pleasant atmosphere, and she received unforgettable academic experience and found new friends from different cities of Ukraine.
