The University offers students the opportunity to choose from a number of disciplines from the cycles of general (inter-school disciplines) and professional (elective professional disciplines) training.

PROCEDURE FOR CHOOSING INTER-SCHOOL DISCIPLINES

Inter-school disciplines are taught during one semester.

Students who receive higher education at the bachelor's level choose one inter-school elective in the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th terms to study.

Students choose inter-school disciplines on a term-by-term basis. In May, students choose the disciplines for the first semester of the next academic year, and in November - for the second semester of the academic year.

The amount of inter-school elective discipline is 3 credits (90 hours) with a share of classroom classes of 33% (32 and 28 hours), the final semester control is conducted in the form of a test and involves the final test paper.

The minimum number of students in a group for inter-school elective disciplines is 15; the maximum number of students who can study simultaneously is determined by the academic councils of the faculties (educational and research institutes) offering the discipline.

To form a general list of inter-school elective disciplines for the first semester, the deans of the relevant faculties (directors of educational and research institutes) submit lists and information materials for inter-school disciplines to the Education Quality Office no later than 1st April. The Office of Education Quality checks the information provided, approves the general list of inter-school disciplines with the faculties (educational and research institutes), and posts the information materials on its website by May.

To form a general list of inter-school elective disciplines for the second semester, the deans of the relevant faculties (directors of educational and research institutes) submit lists and information materials for inter-school disciplines to the Education Quality Office no later than 1st October. The Office of Education Quality checks the information provided, approves the general list of inter-school disciplines with the faculties (educational and research institutes) and posts the information materials on its website by 1st November.

The organisation of students' discipline selection includes two stages:

- selection of disciplines from the proposed list by means of a direct survey of students (using the Google Forms service). During the first stage, students have to fill in the questionnaires posted on the university website. In the questionnaire, students must indicate three disciplines in the order of their attractiveness to them;

- summing up the survey results and publishing the results of the choice of inter-school disciplines on the university's official website. Students who do not exercise their right of choice are enrolled in the disciplines for reasons of optimising the number of students in study groups.

Recommendations for organising the choice of inter-school disciplines

Classes in inter-school elective disciplines are held on the same day and at the same time at all faculties - every Friday at 12:00.

PROCEDURE FOR ORGANISING THE CHOICE OF PROFESSIONAL DISCIPLINES (blocks of disciplines)

1. In order to familiarise students with elective professional disciplines (blocks of disciplines), lists and annotations of these disciplines are posted on the official website of the School no later than 10 June.

The discipline summary specifies the prerequisites for studying a given discipline (block of disciplines) or specialisation, the minimum number of students who can simultaneously study a particular discipline (block of disciplines) or be trained in a particular specialisation (the maximum number of students may also be set). The number of disciplines offered must exceed, as a rule, twice the number of elective disciplines provided for in the working curriculum.

2. To organise the study of a discipline (block of disciplines) of their choice, each student chooses a discipline from the proposed list on the school website by ________ using the GoogleForms service.

3. The dean's office summarises the results of the students' choice and publishes the results on the official website of the school. Students who have not exercised their right of choice are enrolled in disciplines for reasons of optimising the number of students in study groups.

4. Information about the disciplines (blocks of disciplines) to be studied at the students' choice shall be included in the individual curricula of students.
