“Art Phenomena in World Literature History: Transition of Speech into Written Language”

Call for participation in the international science conference.

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the International Science Conference Art Phenomena in World Literature History: Transition of Speech into Written Language to be held at Karazin University on April 2-3, 2015.

The purpose of the conference is to comprehend the relevance of each literary epoch in arts practice and their interpretation in literary studies and linguistics in the early XXI century.

Conference organizer: School of Foreign Languages of Karazin University (Department of Romance Philology and Translation, Department of German Philology and Translation (section of Chinese Philology and Translation)).

Conference focus areas:

  • Discourse types: institutional, non-institutional and artistic.
  • Genre specific features of speech and works of art, re-examination of directions and trends as systems of artistic principles.
  • Contemporary methodological foundations of teaching foreign languages and literature history.

Within the framework of the conference the participants will also be able to attend a round table: "The role of contemporary academicliterary studies and their influence on the development of the community's consciousness.

Materials submission deadline: up until February 5, 2015.

Conference languages: Chinese, English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Ukrainian.
