International Science Conference “Art Phenomena in World Literature History: Transition of Speech into Written Language”

Call for Participation

On April 2-3, 2015 V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University is holding the International Science Conference Art Phenomena in World Literature History: Transition of Speech into Written Language.

The conference goal is to reconsider the relevance of each literary period in the art practice, and their interpretation in literature studies and linguistics in early XXI century.

Conference organizer: School of Foreign Languages, Department of Roman Philology and Translation, section of Chinese Philology and Translation of the Department of German Philology and Translation.

Conference focus areas:

  • Discourse types: institutional, non-institutional, artistic.

  • Genre-specific features of speech and works of art, re-considering of the directions and trends as systems of artistic principles.

  • Contemporary methodological foundations of teaching foreign languages and literature history.

The conference agenda also includes a round-table discussion “The Role of Contemporary Academic Literature Studies and their Influence on Society’s Consciousness Development”.

Conference languages: Ukrainian, French, Spanish, Chinese, German, English, Russian.
