Open Day

The traditional Open Day was held at Karazin University, during which the students learned more about the activities of the university, talked with its management, heads of faculties, departments, students, representatives of the admissions committee and really immersed themselves in an atmosphere of progressive and powerful education.

In the morning, Karazinsky welcomed the guests: in the lobby, the guests could make a memorable selfie near the thematic photo zone, to get acquainted with the scientific work of Karazinsky scientists. The representatives of the faculties, educational and scientific institutes prepared stands-presentations, an interactive program that helped the guests to find out in more detail what future students will be engaged in during their studies. Guests were also able to ask questions about the features of the 2020 admission campaign and study and life at the university at briefings with admissions officers and student deans.

The rector, academician Vil Bakirov congratulated the participants: “Karazinsky is the oldest university in Ukraine. It was 215 years old recently. Thanks to the university, science, education, culture, Kharkiv has become the European, vibrant, powerful metropolis that we see it now. Karazinsky studied, worked for many prominent people, including Nobel Prize winners, whose monuments were placed before entering the university. About 17,000 students, many from abroad, are currently studying at the university. We actually offer young people the whole spectrum of modern classical university education: from psychology to space radiophysics, from classical philology to biotechnology, medicine, etc. ”.

He added that Karazinsky gives the opportunity to develop in five directions: professional, scientific, artistic and aesthetic (choir, groups of artistic creativity, theater, museums, circles), sports (presence of powerful sports infrastructure), management (participation in student self-government) .
