Workshop on Distance Learning

Delving into the use of Internet technologies and mass media in the academic process organization.

On November 11, 2014 the School of Foreign Lnaguages held a workshop for faculty devoted to the use of Internet technologies and mass media in the academic process.

Within the framework of the workshop Associate Professor Tetyana Varenko (Department of English Philology) presented an analytical overview of the functional features and advantages of Google Classroom that can be used to enhance the effectiveness of the teaching and learning activities. She also shared her practical experience in using the service as part of hybrid and distance learning.

Lecturer Olena Rybakova (Department of Foreign Language Teaching Methods and Practice ) told those present about the use of mass media in a foreign language classroom.

The discussion also touched upon the functional potential of Google Drive in the context of its integration with Google Classroom and use in preparing course and diploma projects.

Plan of methodological workshops to be held at the School in the current academic year.
