V International Conference “Current Approaches to Foreign Language Teaching: Ways to Integrate Secondary and Higher Schools”

The School held an international conference dedicated to modern approaches of teaching a foreign language.


On April 17, 2015, on the initiative of the Department of English Language together with the Community Higher Educational Institution “Kharkiv Academy of Continuous Education”, the School of Foreign Languages held the V International Conference “Current Approaches to Foreign Language Teaching: Ways to Integrate Secondary and Higher Schools” uniting scholars from the Slovenian Republic, Russia, Peru, the USA, Holland, and Ukraine. The conference was attended by 134 participants.

The participants touched upon the general issues of teaching and control, innovative approaches to teaching foreign languages, didactic and psychological aspects of teaching foreign languages at higher and secondary schools, as well as professional training in English. The conference illustrated various contemporary approaches to teaching foreign languages and outlined the prospects of further research.

The results of the conference were published in a compendium of abstracts (, 1,99 Mb).
