Workshops “Professional Development for Researchers”

The Associate Dean for Teaching Methods and Innovation, Tatyana Varenko, is among the participants.


Karazin University has held a series of workshops Professional Development for Researchers conducted by the Director of the Adair Richards Associates Ltd. Company, Adair Richards.The workshops took place within the Researcher Conneсt project under the aegis of the British Council in Ukraine from February 29 to March 4, 2016.

The workshops focused on writing effective abstracts, drawing up successful proposals for grants, fellowships and other programs, and making presentations with impact. The participants received certificates from the British Council and acquired priceless practical skills required for effective and successful scientific communication.

The participants were representatives of Zaporizhzhia National University, the Institute of Fisheries of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, A. N. Podgorny Institute for Mechanical Engineering Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, N. Ye. Zhukovskiy State Aerospace University “Kharkiv Aviation Institute”, National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, I. Ya. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University, B. Ie. Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine, Kharkiv Humanitarian Pedagogical Academy, O. M. Beketov National University of Municipal Economy, O.Ya Usikov Institute for Radiophysics and Electronics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the National Institute for Strategic Studies, Institute of Economic and Legal Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of High Molecular Compounds, Odessa National Medical University, Chernihiv National University of Technology, the National University “Lviv Polytechnic”, and V. N Karazin Kharkiv National University.

Among the participants there were Karazin University community representatives, namely Vadym Markov, Anastasiia Nikitina, Dmytro Novikov, Anastasiia Riabchunova (School of Chemistry), Liudmyla Protsenko, Oleksandr Khyzhniak (School of Sociology), Olena Meleshko (School of Biology), Kateryna Utkina (School of Ecology), Tatyana Varenko (School of Foreign Languages).

Moreover, Karazin University President Vil Bakirov, Vice-President Zarif Nazyrov, the Director of the Center for International Cooperation, Oleksandr Fadieiev, had a meeting with the Deputy Director of the British Council in Ukraine, Natasha Vasyliuk, the education projects manager of the British Council in Ukraine, Viktor Kyrylenko, and Adair Richards to discuss further cooperation.
