Lukas Mayrhofer describes the state-of-the-art technologies of German language teaching.
Acting a supporting department of Kharkiv Universiyt Consortium based at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, the Department of German Language has held an international workshop on professional development of lecturers of German. The event took place in the Austrian library on May 12-13, 2016.
Workshop organizers: Federal Ministry of Education and Women's Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Department “Language and Culture” and Austrian Library in Kharkiv.
The reviewer, MS in gastrosophy, lecturer and moderator of workshops on German language teaching methods with many years’ experience, Lukas Mayrhofer, acquainted the participants with the relevant topics of German pluralcentrism highlighting the specific nature of its Austrian version. He broached the issue of the language standard and regional dialects, area studies of Austria, and the work with fiction texts of contemporary young Austrian authors at German classes.
The participants had an opportunity to get acquainted with the state-of-the-art technologies of German language teaching, including Poetry Slam. The lecturers of German from the leading educational institutions and specialized schools of Kharkiv took active part in the workshop.
