February 28 International Language Certification Centre of Karazin University held a ceremony of awarding certificates to the University employees who had successfully passed the English language test “Pearson Test of English”.
The event was attended by the University President, Vil Bakirov, the Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Valentyna Pasynok, the employees of International Language Certification Centre of the University, and others.
The University President addressed those present in his welcoming speech, “It is a great honor for me to congratulate you on the successful completion of the course. The Academic Board have recently approved the University Development Strategy 2019-2025, containing 40 projects. In particular, an important role was paid to learning English language by the faculty members. According to the results of the work in this direction, by 2025, 75% of the University instructors must know English and use it in the educational process, as well as have their papers published in English-language journals. You are currently making a contribution to the common cause.” He thanked the Center’s staff engaged in preparing the instructors for the exam.
Valentyna Pasynok also congratulated the course participants on the successful passing of the exam and confirmation of their English language skills.
International English Language Certificates of B2 proficiency level were awarded to 25 employees of the University, in particular:
