US Vice Consul holds a presentation of student exchange programs at Karazin University.
On November 18, 2013 Jett Thomason, Vice Consul of the Unites States, held a presentation of student exchange and academic programs in the USA.
The presentation addressed the document submission procedure for obtaining visas for studying in the USA, visa types and their distinctions. The Vice Consul devoted special attention to the specifics and opportunities of a student visa as well as specificity of filling out the I-20 form and the questionnaire. He revealed a few nuances of being interviewed by a consular officer.
According the Mr. Thomason the American government is quite interested in having foreign students studying in the USA. He also stressed the importance of provision of financial guarantees by the student and the right to obtain a visa for the family members of the person studying in the USA.
The Vice Consul gladly answered all the questions asked.
