The meeting addresses prospects of cooperation between the University and educational and research institutions of France.
A delegation from France comprising Eric Tosatti, the Cooperation and Cultural Action Counsellor at the French Embassy in Ukraine, the Director of the French Institute in Ukraine, and Guillaume Martin, the Director of the French Institute in Kharkiv, was on a working visit to Karazin University.
The delegates met with Karazin University President, Academician Vil Bakirov, Director of the Center for International Cooperation, Associate Professor Olena Shapovalova, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Full Professor Valentyna Pasynok, Associate Dean of the School of Mechanics and Mathematics, Associate Professor Olha Anoshchenko, Head of the International Activity Management Oleksandr Fadieiev, Head of the Department of Romance Philology and Translation Maryna Voronina, Associate Professor of the Department of Romance Philology and Translation Viacheslav Shchyrov, Associate Professor of the Department of Theoretical and Applied Information Science Iryna Zaretska.
During the visit the delegates got acquainted with the structure, academics, research and methodological work of the University. The meeting also addressed prospects of developing further cooperation with the French partners, particularly in terms of participation of the University faculty members and students in internship programs in France. Another matter discussed within the framework of the meeting was Karazin University joining La Francophonie, the World Council for Cooperation of French-Speaking Countries, where Ukraine is an observer.
