Exposition "Albert Camus 1913–2013"

Opening of an exposition dedicated to Albert Camus.


A poster and book exhibition entitled “Albert Camus (1913–1960) is a French Writer” was opened at Karazin University on the initiative of the Department of Romance Philology and Translation of the School of Foreign Languages and the French Institute in Kharkiv. The opening also included a round table where those present discussed the writer’s life and works.

Guillaume Martin, Director of the French Institute in Kharkiv, and the University faculty and students participated in the event. Among the exhibits there is a series of posters containing information on the principal stages and milestones of the writer’s creative activity, documents, critical papers, video records in French, English, Spanish, German, Chinese and Arabic.

The digital interactive is timed to coincide with the centenary of the famous writer’s birth. Besides Ukraine, it is also set up in Greece, Egypt, Israel, Canada, Morocco, Germany, Russia, the USA, Turkey as well as in a number of Southern American countries.

The exposition will be open for visitors till March 22, 2014.
