International Conference on Methodological and Psycho-Pedagogical Problems of Foreign Language Teaching

Call for participation.

The School of Foreign Languages is pleased to invite scholars to participate in the IX International Scientific and Methodological Conference Methodological and Psycho-Pedagogical Problems of Foreign Language Teaching at the Present Stage: Ways of Integrating Secondary and Higher Schools to be held at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University on April 28, 2017.

Conference languages: Ukrainian, Russian, West European.

The purpose of the conference is to consolidate efforts and exchange experience in innovative technologies used in teaching foreign languages in secondary and higher schools in the present-day educational, psychological and cultural environment.

Prior to the conference, a compendium of abstracts will come out. The electronic version of the compendium will be available on the School’s website. The participants of the section and plenary meetings will receive copies of abstracts of the reports. Distribution of the conference proceedings is not expected. Deadline for abstracts submission to e-mail engldpt@karazin.ua is March 15, 2017.

Conference focus areas:

  • general problems of teaching and control;
  • theory and methods of teaching foreign languages in secondary and higher schools;
  • didactic and psychological aspects of learning foreign languages in secondary and higher schools;
  • professional training in foreign languages (for students with non-language majors);
  • new approaches to teaching foreign languages.
