Yelyzaveta Hoderdzishvili wins the title of Miss Student Council and Miss Extravagance.
Karazin University held its traditional beauty pageant “Miss University 2015” organized under the aegis of the Trade Union Organization of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students and the Student Council.
The five entrances of the contestants were called to display their grace, sense of rhythm, artistry, musicality, erudition, eloquence, and talent. The girls not only delighted the eye with their beauty, but also left an unforgettable impression with their romantic, vivid, and even humorous performances, sensual execution of lyrical songs, lively rock compositions, dances of different genres ranging from ballet and folk to contemp and hip-hop. They surprised the audience with their theatrical performances with elements of masquerade and gymnastics.
The good mood was also ensured by the crowned Karazinites: last year’s Miss and Mister University, Elina Safonova and Klev Nutumbi, and this year’s best boys: the Mister University, Anatolii Lutitskyi, the Vice Mister, Vladyslav Orlov, the Audience Choice Award holder, Vadym Kuchuhura, and other talented students. Their spectacular performances, including heartfelt and emotional dancing and singing, a colorful show with balls, brilliant rendering of rock compositions on the violin conquered the hearts of the audience.
The last entrance of the contestants wearing Ukrainian national outfit in a moving dance accompanied by Ukrainian song performed by the University students raised a furor.
“I would like to say three words: awesome, incredible, unforgettable! I have seen beauty, energy, grace, and charm here today. I have also seen the future! ” summed up the University President, Vil Bakirov, joking that he had even lost his voice cheering. In his tern, the Dean of the School of Philosophy, Ivan Karpenko, philosophized: “Today, the God has done good at the University through truth in beauty.”
By the pageant results, each participating girl was awarded a title. The student of the School of Foreign Languages, Yelyzaveta Hoderdzishvili, is awarded the title of Miss Extravagance.
A new title has been introduced this year — Miss Student Council. Yelyzaveta Hoderdzishvili became its proud holder too.
By the jury’s decision, the title of Miss University 2014 was awarded to Oleksandra Sosnovska from the School of Mechanics and Mathematics. The first runner-up became Evetta Pats (School of Philology), the second runner-up — Krystyna Damieniia (School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business).
