Research-to-Practice Student Conference in Foreign Languages

Foreign Languages in the World Economic and Legal Space.

On February 20, 2016, the Department of Business Foreign Language and Translation of the School of Foreign Languages held the ІІІ All-Ukrainian Research-to-Practice Student Conference Foreign Languages in the World Economic and Legal Space. The participants of the conference discussed international relations, international law, management of foreign economic activity, and international economics in English.

The participants of the conference were students and faculty members of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business. The Dean of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business, Vadym Sidorov, welcomed the participants and guests. The reports by the invited guests, namely Olha Chichina, the Head of the Link non-governmental organization, Deputy of Kharkiv City Council (her report topic: "A graduate’s life — employment opportunities"), and Serhii Kiriienko, the Click Room company owner, an alumnus of the School of International Economic Relations and Travel Business of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (his report topic: "Own business or work for hire") aroused lively interest and a lot of questions from the students.

Bright English presentations by the students of different courses, particularly O.Chala, T.Nesterenko, A.Harus, I.Kuharieva, E.Hamraieva, O.Turynska and S. Horobets, proved not only the high level of their professional and language skills, but also their desire to apply their knowledge and take efforts in developing themselves and their country.
