All-Ukrainian Contest in Foreign Languages for Students not Majoring in German Studies

I round winners announced.


On February 29 through March 3, 2016, the Department of English Language of Karazin University held the first round of the All-Ukrainian Contest in Foreign Languages (English) among first- to fourth-year students not majoring in German studies.

The contest consisted of three rounds: the first round (February 29) included a test in English grammar, vocabulary and reading comprehension. In the second round (March 2), the participants had an interview, and the last one (March 4) checked students’ listening comprehension and composition writing skills.

The results of all three rounds are as follows:

I place — Karyna Salo (School of Mathematics and Informatics);

II place — Ihor Prydkyi (School of Physics and Technology);

III place — Borys Koval (School of Economics).

The participants were full- and part-time 89 students from 14 Schools (School of Computer Sciences, School of Physics and Technology, School of Mathematics and Informatics, School of Philosophy, School of Philology, School of Chemistry, School of Law, School of Medicine, School of Physics, School of Economics, School of Sociology, School of Psychology, School of Geology, Recreation Geography and Tourism, School of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics and Computer Systems).
