Day of Department of Foreign Language Teaching Methods and Practice

Congratulations to the staff and students of the Department, and wishes of success in their work and studies, inspiration, professional and individual growth!


On April 27, 2016, the School of Foreign Languages celebrated the Day of the Department of Foreign Language Teaching Methods and Practice.

To mark the occasion the students of the School organized a gala concert for their lecturers. The concert took place under the motto “2016 is the Year of English”. The program included songs in English, a lyrical delivery of Rudyard Kipling’s masterpiece “If”, a gymnastic performance and numerous greetings.

In her welcoming address, the Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Head of the Department of Foreign Language Teaching Methods and Practice, Valentyna Pasynok, emphasized that the students of the School have many talents and wished their lives to be as bright as today’s performances. Ms. Pasynok wished the Department’s faculty successful professional and creative growth and worthy students.

The Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Character Building, Serhii Mashchenko, pointed out that it is the Department of Foreign Language Teaching Methods and Practice that plays the first fiddle in the character building of the School, which is a prerequisite for successful realization of the creative potential.

The Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Language Teaching Methods and Practice, Iryna Sverdlova, observed about the tradition of the Department’s Day celebration that we are remembered by those traditions which we are creating ourselves, and today’s holiday is a wonderful example thereof. Ms. Sverdlova wished the faculty and students creative spirits and well-being.

Besides the numerous wall newspapers, flowers and pleasant impressions, the students presented the Department with the picture “Wonders of Great Britain” executed by the talented second-year student of the School, Dariia Sozdanna (Group YaІ-21).
