International Conference on Secondary and Higher School Integration

The School hosted an international conference dedicated to modern approaches of teaching a foreign language.

On April 25, 2014, on the initiative of the Department of English Language together with the Community Higher Educational Institution “Kharkiv Academy of Continuing Education”, the School of Foreign Languages held the IV International Conference “Current Approaches to Foreign Language Teaching: Ways to Integrate Secondary and Higher Schools” uniting scientists from Armenia, Belarus, Holland, China, Peru, Russia, Slovenian Republic, the USA and Ukraine. The conference was attended by 130 participants.

The conference touched upon the aspects of learning and control, innovative approaches to teaching foreign languages and interactive techniques, etc. The reports were characterized by a high theoretical level and allowed to delve into the diversity of contemporary approaches to teaching foreign languages and to outline prospects for further research.

The results of the conference were published in a compendium of abstracts ().
