Creative Translation Contest: Congratulations to the Winners

Creative Translation Contest: Congratulations to the Winners

Contest results announced.

In October 2016, the School of Foreign Languages held the creative translation contest among students, postgraduate students of Karazin University and everyone willing to participate. The contest took place on the initiative of the Department of English Language.

This year, the original text was chosen the excerpt from the science fiction novel “The Long Mars” by Terry Pratchett, which has been translated neither Russian nor Ukrainian! So, for the first time our contestants tried to translate the work by the best British writer!

By the contest results, the winners are:

I place — Yuliia Khrypun (fourth-year student of the School of Foreign Languages of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University);

II place — Yana Sysa (second-year student of the School of Foreign Languages of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University);

III place — Dmytro Nikolaievskyi (fifth-year student of the School of Chemistry of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, and Marharyta Polupan (second-year student of the School of Philology of Sumy State University).

We are proud of all the participants, their hard work, persistent and creative approach to the tasks!

We wish them endless inspiration, new discoveries and success along the way!
