On 24 April 2024, students majoring in German Language and Literature and Translation and English had the opportunity to meet with Oleksandr Kochengin, project manager and translator at the Institute of Applied Psychology "Humanitarian Centre".

The guest generously shared his professional experience with the students, spoke about the specifics of working as a translator (primarily in the humanities - psychology and sociology), and the importance of pre-translation text analysis.

The translator answered numerous questions from the students about the peculiarities of the job market in his field, the requirements for candidates for the position of translator, the development of translation skills, and the impact of artificial intelligence on the labour market. In the end, the students received useful advice on professional life-long self-improvement.
