Professional Career:

  • 1980 – 1994 — lecturer at the School of Foreign Languages of Kharkiv State University;
  • 1994 – 1998 — lecturer at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (Germany/ Erlangen and Nuremberg);
  • 1998 – 2003 — deputy dean at the School of Foreign Languages;
  • 1998 – 2020 — head of the Department of German Philology and Translation at the School of Foreign Languages;
  • 1998 - 2022 — associate professor at the Department of German Philology and Translation at the School of Foreign Languages;
  • since October 2022 — associate professor at the Department of Roman and German Philology at the School of Foreign Languages;

Scholarly endeavor:

  • Areas of expertise: Linguistics and area studies, comparative grammar of German and Ukrainian; translation theory.
  • Has circa 60 scientific publications.
  • Advised 1 PhD student in German Linguistics.

Teaching activities:

  • Courses: "Theoretical and сomparative grammar of German and Ukrainian" (fourth-year students), special course on aspect studies (fifth-year students), "German language" (fifth-year students), German Translation Practice (fifth-year students);

  • Author and co-author of 7 education publications.
