Academic Work at the Department of German Philology and Translation


The Department of German Philology and Translation provides training for specialists majoring in German language and literature with qualifications of lecturers, translators and interpreters with specialization "Germanic Languages and Literatures (translation inclusive)". During the 4 years of study, the students receive a basic higher education in the major of "German language and literature" resulting in a bachelor's degree in philology. After another one and a half years of study, graduates receive a complete higher education in the major of "Language and Literature (German, English) and Translation (German, English)" and a master's degree. Education is provided in full-time and part-time forms.

The department of German philology uses modern methods of teaching German language, including cooperative education, usage of CAT-tools, online training programs (e.g. flash cards), live action role-playing games, project work etc.
