DigiFLED


The ERASMUS+ Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education project "DigiFLEd - Modernisation of university education programmes in foreign languages by integrating information technologies".

The project aims to improve the quality of education in Ukrainian higher education through the introduction of modern information technologies, as well as to promote the spread of the Ukrainian language and culture internationally.

A consortium of 10 partners representing 4 countries will be working on the project:

Project duration: 01.01.2024-01.01.2027.

Its objectives are: 1) to address mismatches between the requirements of the labour market and the offer of HEIs; 2) to provide FL professionals with the necessary training in ICTs; 3) to foster cooperation between partner universities; 4) to strengthen the relationships between HEIs, schools and other stakeholders; 5) to enhance visibility of the Ukrainian language and culture internationally.

The EU value added activities shall contribute to the wider objectives of EU innovation and digitalisation policies through: 1) innovating curricula in terms of content (digital and transversal skills), mode (electronically mediated, accessible) and methods (engaging, interactive, real-problem-based teaching); 2) continuing Bologna-type reforms via employability enhancement initiatives and quality assurance; 3) introducing hands-on training schemes for developing ICT-enhanced FL teaching products; 4) developing and launching accessible ICT-based courses and open online courses; 5) creating a network of partner universities’ virtual centres.

The target groups are FL students, university teaching staff and school teachers. The number of persons to benefit from this is approximately 1400.

The planned outcomes are as follows: 1) the gap between the requirements of the labour market and the offer of HEIs narrowed; 2) 24 university curricula in FL innovated; 3) e-learning equipment in 7 UA HEIs modernised 4) the quality of FL education improved; 5) students and teaching staff trained in ICT; 6) international links strengthened; 7) new placement opportunities created; 8) international project management skills enhanced; 9) Ukrainian language and culture promoted internationally.
