Faculty of the School Participate in the I All-Ukrainian Forum of German Lecturers

The forum brought together over 400 specialists in Germanic Studies from Ukraine, Germany and Austria.

On November 25-26, 2016, Kyiv hosted the I All-Ukrainian Forum of German Lecturers entitled “Professional Spheres of German Language — German Language in a School and Higher Educational Institutions in Ukraine at the Present Day”.

The forum brought together over 400 specialists in Germanic Studies from Ukraine, Germany and Austria.

The participants of the forum discussed the German Language teaching for different target groups, development of new standards, curricula and academic programs, the development tendencies of Modern German in Germany and Austria.

The representatives of the School of Foreign Languages also participated in the forum, particularly the Professor of the Department of German Philology and Translation Liliia Bezuhla represented Kharkiv center of the Association Germanists as its coordinator at the forum, and the Associate Professor of the Department of German Philology and Translation Svitlana Sotnikova held a workshop “Wortschatzarbeit und Lernstrategien” (“Work on Vocabulary and Learning Strategies”). Moreover, the participants of other workshops became the Associate Professor of the Department of German Philology and Translation Nataliia Onishchenko, Associate Professors of the Department of German and French Languages,Olena Bielozorova, Lina Maievska, Olha Tereshchenko, and the lecturer of the Department of German Philology and Translation Vadym Oreshych.
