The Department of Business Foreign Language and Translation

Our Department fosters and supports science efforts across all spheres and individuals. We offer various ways of activities aimed at achieving scientific researches, especially in Linguistics. Research activity covers all aspects of our pedagogical activities and creates new knowledge within our disciplines.

Broadly speaking, it covers the following: contributing to the intellectual life of our discipline – including developing novel lines of enquiry;; Supporting and nurturing early career researchers, including supervision of students;maintaining the highest standards of research integrity; developing cross-disciplinary research activities.

Our department’s research work can be represented through the following activities:

  • Participating and holding the scientific, scientific and practical conferences.
  • Participating and holding the scientific seminars.
  • Publishing the scientific articles
  • Participating in scientific practical conferences and publishing the theses of speeches in collections of conference materials

Conferences:

1. The Department is the initiator and coordinator of the International Scientific Conference “Cognitive and Pragmatic Research of Professional Discourses” held biennially in March. The conference was conducted in 2007, 2009, 2011, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020 uniting distinguished scholars from Ukraine, Russia, the USA specializing in cognitive science and pragmatics of professional discourses. The materials of the conferences came out in print.

All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Student Conference" Іноземні мови у світовому економіко-правовому просторі" is an annual conference that has been held every year since 2017 by our department. The conferences invites students to present their current research in different economic fields of study. The goal of the conference is to provide students from all fields of economics an opportunity to present their work in front of their fellow students from across the country.
