World of Science with the School of Oriental Languages and Intercultural Communication!
Today, on 30 September, the School of Oriental Languages and Intercultural Communication held career guidance interactives as part of the World of Science event at Karazin University. Schoolchildren were given the opportunity to get a prediction about the foreign language to be studied, expand their knowledge through the quiz "Guess which language..." and plunge into the world of Chinese and Arabic calligraphy.
Report of the School of the Faculty of Foreign Languages for the academic year 2022-2023
On 21 September 2023, the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Svitlana Virotchenko made a report on the work of the Faculty in the academic year 2022-2023 at a meeting of the staff. The Faculty continues to develop and strengthen its position, improve the educational process, and therefore attracts more and more applicants.
Svitlana Andriiivna noted that the Faculty successfully implements extracurricular activities and international cooperation, which allows not only to ensure high quality education but also to increase the level of professional competence of students and teachers. In addition, the Dean emphasised the significant progress in the Faculty's research activities. Over the past year, the Faculty's teachers and students published more than 300 papers in scientific collections and journals, and participated in international conferences and seminars. The School also organised events to promote methodological work and attract applicants.
In addition, Svitlana Andriivna spoke about the perspectives and tasks for the 2023-2024 academic year. We sincerely wish inspiration and strength to our Dean, the entire staff and students of the Department of Oriental Languages and Intercultural Communication!
The Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Svitlana Andriivna Virotchenko, shared her invaluable knowledge and experience within the framework of the Adult Education Week held by Karazin University!
The first lecture on "Foreign Languages in the Context of Implementing the Concept of Lifelong Learning in Ukraine" was read by the Dean of the School of Foreign Languages of Karazin University, Svitlana Virotchenko. She noted that the continuous educational process contributes to the development of personality and professional growth of a person regardless of age, and knowledge of foreign languages is one of the defining aspects of this process.
Svitlana Andriivna emphasised that learning foreign languages is the development of professional competence of adults in any sphere and improvement of efficiency in the context of international cooperation and exchange of experience.
We are extremely proud of Svitlana Andriivna and grateful to the Dean for her incredible contribution to the development of education in Ukraine!
